Customers eat and drink at The Tuck Box restaurant in Carmel, Calif. continued to defy orders from the Monterey County Health Department to stop dine-service on May 15, 2020, a day after District Attorney Jeannine Pacioni announced criminal charges warned owner Jeffrey LeTowt about. Charges include three misdemeanor counts of violating the shelter-in-place order, each of which comes with the possibility of a $1,000 fine and/or six months imprisonment.
